Senbazuru - 1000 Origami cranes
One thousand Origami cranes (千 羽 鹤 Senbazuru) is a set of one thousand cranes made of Origami paper (鹤 tsuru) held together by strings. An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand Origami cranes will have their wish granted by a crane, such as a long life or healing from illness or injury.
This makes them popular as gifts for close friends and family. The Japanese crane is one of the mystical creatures (others include the dragon and the turtle), and is said to live for a thousand years.
Origami - the Japanese art of paper folding
Origami (折り紙, from oru, to fold, and kami, paper) is the Japanese name for the art of paper folding. The only requirement for origami is a piece of paper, making it one of the most accessible arts.
Spending time making origami is like a moment of meditation, of mindfulness. It's a great way to take a break during this busy month of December.

Sustainable living starts with lifestyle changes
If you really want to reduce your impact on the environment, start by making small but important lifestyle changes. Small steps are the way to a sustainable and conscious lifestyle.
Avoiding plastic bags or reducing meat consumption may seem insignificant, but these small actions can lead to dramatic changes in the world, as those around you start to follow your example.
How to reduce your food waste
Did you know that around one-third of the food produced in the world for human consumption every year ― approximately 1.3 billion tons ― gets lost or wasted?
Not only does it mean that you practically throw away your money, if just one-fourth of the food currently lost or wasted globally could be saved, it would be enough to feed 870 million hungry people in the world.
Are you ready to cut your food waste and reduce your “foodprint”?

No doubt that life is definitely busy. Especially since last year, we are more connected online to speak to our family and friends, work and social life than ever. At the swipe of a thumb, you can reveal the secrets of the ages, or look at a picture of your best friend’s wedding dress, but is that really being social?
While it’s clear that technology has made it possible for us to view all kind of information, we don’t interact directly as much as before.

Let’s talk about Exercise
We are in a time where the gym may not be the best method to do exercise. Or maybe you are too busy at home or too tired after work to commute to the gym.
Well imagine doing workouts with your own bodyweight ― therefore no equipment is needed! All these workouts can be done in the comfort of your home and are completed in a total of 20 minutes!
Being a mom
Being a mom … or a dad … means something different to every parent. As a parent, we obviously want what is best for our child and while we have the experience of having been a child ourselves and remembering how it was with our parents, we don’t receive instructions of use on how to make it happen. We have some things in common when it comes to being a mom or dad and what we wish for our child or children, but today I just want to speak for myself.
