It’s not about New Year's resolutions, it’s about taking the decision and start
It's been a few years now that I've been dropping my New Year's resolutions because I haven't always been able to follow them. Yes, I am guilty of that too! And you probably are as well.
Whether you want to get better and healthier or you want to start your side gig, for one reason or another, you've had a hard time sticking to them, or even starting. Maybe it's because you expected it to happen on its own, without putting any effort into it or planning what is required. And because it didn't happen the way you wanted it to, you just gave up. It's quite usual.
Why does it happen? Because you didn't have the right approach.
How to reset after the Holidays
I love the holiday, but it can leave me feeling a bit bloated, sluggish and not quite myself. If you are like me, the good news is, with a few minor adjustments you can get back to feeling like you in no time.
Need a plan of action to restore your energy and nourish your body? You have been wanting to eat healthier and have a lot of fun along the way. No diets, no complexity, just real food, prepped real quick.
How to stay on track with your health goals during the holiday season
We are approaching this time of the year again, and after the last months mostly working from home, that seems like a tough month ahead!
What are you most worried about this season?
Staying on track with your health goals?
Not gaining some more kilos/pounds over the next weeks?
Having enough time to prepare everything?
Did you ever tried dry brushing?
Dry brushing or garshana is an ayurvedic ritual done every morning to stimulate the blood circulation. It involves daily body massage with a dry, stiff-bristled brush.
What are the health benefits of dry brushing?
Brushing the skin while it is dry allows you to exfoliate and increase blood circulation without robbing it of moisture, as the hot water in the shower does. It also helps detoxify, as it increases blood circulation and promotes lymph flow and drainage. It also stimulates your nervous system, which makes you feel invigorated afterward.

Ask yourself four simple questions to overcome stress — book recommendation
Byron Katie’s book Loving What Is examines how thoughts create suffering and how investigating that thinking can provide relief. She calls this process inquiry and the overall methodology The Work.
The only time we suffer is when we believe a thought that argues with what is.
What is Intuitive Eating?
Intuitive eating encourages you not to fear food and to listen to your body. Intuitive eating rejects the dieting mentality and respects what the body needs, instead of having "forbidden" foods and labeling foods as "good" or "bad", as diets often do. The act of eating becomes positive and allows you to regain your freedom of eating.
How to reduce toxins in your diet
We are all exposed to endocrine disrupting chemicals in our daily lives. Have you ever wondered whether chemicals in the plastic wrapper on your veggies or cheese can leach into the food you are about to eat? Here are some tips for a healthier diet you can implement directly.
Weight loss and self-image
We live in a time when we are overwhelmed by conflicting messages from the media and a long list of experts telling us that we should feel good if we eat a certain way, exercise enough or control ourselves.
We don't know what to think anymore. In addition, we are often told that if we do not have the ideal weight, if we do not follow a perfect diet and if we do not have unlimited energy and health, then we are doing something wrong.
The difference between self-esteem, selfishness and self-acceptance
The emotional is what we miss most. This ability to be a good person, to take better care of oneself, has been neglected during the competitive patriarchal culture.
To cultivate volunteering, caring and collaborative qualities, referred to as feminine and maternal, other elements are needed for them to be expressed.
Take care of yourself this winter
Winter is a time of rest and reflection for the year. This season is perfect to slow down a little and really look at what your body, mind and soul need. Taking care of yourself is not just about taking care of your body. It is also about nurturing your emotional, mental and psychological health.
Here are some tips to help you feel rested and fit during winter.
Meditation or how to withstand the stress of today's life
“Before enlightenment chop wood and carry water. After an enlightenment chop wood and carry water.”
This Zen quote is about daily practice. There are days that flow and days that do not. It is easy to think that there are other more pressing things we need to do each day in order to “achieve more” yet we can achieve so much more by doing less.
6 valuable lessons from volunteering
Volunteering is better known as something done for the benefit of others, but that does not mean you cannot take a lesson or two along the way.
These lessons could shed light on the principles of doing well, the community in need, and even yourself. Whether you are volunteering in a foreign country for several months, or just spending a few hours organizing a bake sale or picking up trash, here are six things you can learn as a volunteer.
The power of time off – recharge your thinking
The value of taking time off, specifically to relax and clear your head, is important to invigorate your thinking.
Taking a whole week to focus on your personal development may seem unreal, but you do not have to travel around the world to enjoy the same benefits as a "think week".
4 Secrets to find Happiness
If you want happiness, stop looking for it!
“Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder…”– Henry David Thoreau
As we struggle through our days, the quest for happiness is great. However, the search for happiness really prevents us from finding it. The quest for happiness could be a recipe for misery. The more people value happiness, the less happy they become.
Take care of yourself in every possible way
Didn’t you ever felt that life is made of: "I must," "must," and often "I would like" ... to name but a few of the most famous phrases that can turn and turn in your head without even realizing it. They are so impressed in your heart and your brain that perhaps you do not even notice them anymore.
Your life seems to unfold itself under your feet. Children, work, shopping, girlfriends, couple, projects. You give the impression of managing. And yet...
