What is Intuitive Eating?

Intuitive eating encourages you not to fear food and to listen to your body. Intuitive eating rejects the dieting mentality and respects what the body needs, instead of having "forbidden" foods and labeling foods as "good" or "bad", as diets often do. The act of eating becomes positive and allows you to regain your freedom of eating.

Intuitive eating means listening to your body when it is hungry and knowing when you are full. It is about gaining confidence and making your own food choices, rather than basing your choices on your current emotional state, and appreciating your body for everything it has to offer and for the incredible way it works every day.

Intuitive eating encourages you to:

  • reject the dieting mentality

  • recognize hunger

  • find peace with eating

  • respect your sense of satiety

  • honor your feelings

  • respect your body

  • move

  • honor your health

If you eat intuitively, you will see positive effects such as an increased general feeling of happiness, the feeling of being less overwhelmed by what you eat, less stress related to your physical appearance and a greater gratitude towards your body.

Instead of focusing on weight loss and restrictions, intuitive eating changes your relationship with food forever. Forget about the yo-yo diet and calorie counting, as intuitive eating allows you to eat all the foods you love without struggling.
