If you're hungry and snack cereal bars or chips between meals you should think about switching for a healthier snack. Eating healthy meals and then having junk food for snacks doesn't make any sense. Having a healthy snack can maintain your body in good health, prevent diseases and will give you the energy boost you need to work efficiently.
Here are some tips to snack healthier while working
Prepare your snacks ahead
You can do this during your free time, on weekends for example. This way you'll have homemade snacks and won't be tempted to get or buy junk food. It's a good idea to always have a snack in your bag in case you're hungry during the day and you're not at home.
Stop whatever you're doing
Try to stop whatever you're doing when you're eating. You should focus on your snack and eat it mindfully. Otherwise you might still feel hungry afterwards.
Go nuts
Nuts are a really good and practical option. They are pretty satiating and have lots of good nutrients. Don't abuse with the quantity though, they are high in calories.
Keep the fibers
If you like having fruits, try to eat them with the peel. It will keep you full for longer and you won't miss out on all the fibers they contain. Washing them at home is more practical, you can eat them when and wherever you want.
Mix it up
You can make a snack with small portions of different foods. Mixing protein, healthy fat and carbohydrates to make sure your snack is truly healthy and balanced.
H2O
Drinking water or decaffeinated tea while eating your snack will help with metabolism. You'll feel more satiated and will be well hydrated as well.
