Walnut and Date Energy Bites

A little something for four o’clock, when lunch is far behind you and dinner is still a long way off. Walnuts are at their best right now, freshly harvested, and with the dates they make a snack that is sweet enough to feel like a treat and filling enough to carry you through.

Ten minutes, six ingredients and no oven. Two of these with a cup of tea is all you need.

We taste simple things like this together in my group programme, Six Tuesdays in Montignac, starting on 20 October.
