The Warmth of Christmas Love

It was the night before Christmas and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
The tree was adorned with twinkling lights
And the mantle was lined with stockings so bright
But one little girl couldn't close her wide eyes
She was too excited, filled with surprise
She lay in her bed, thinking of the day
When all of her loved ones would come to play
She knew that in the morning, there would be gifts to unwrap
Delicious food to savor and memories to lap up
But most of all, she was filled with a sense of love
For her family, her friends, and the joy from above
Christmas was a time for giving and sharing
For being grateful and kind and for simply caring
It was a time for forgiveness, for starting anew
For spreading joy and happiness in all that we do
As the little girl finally drifted off to sleep
She dreamed of the fulfillment and happiness that Christmas would bring
For on this special day, all troubles were forgotten
And love and health were the themes in everything
So let us all embrace the joy and love of this season
And let our hearts be filled with hope and reason
For on this Christmas day, let us be grateful and true
For all the blessings we've been given and all that we'll pursue
Merry Christmas to all, and all a good night
May your hearts be filled with love and your days be bright
